Creative Expressions: Art
We’re returning to working with Acrylics. Acrylic paints dry pretty fast, and are a forgiving medium. You can paint over mistakes, or make changes, or even paint out the whole thing and start over. So far we’ve chosen a couple of types of inspiration: Autumn Landscapes Winter Scenes — and yes some Christmas-themed too.
There will be “steps samples” of a couple of the paintings to help you create your own versions: First, the background of the “scene”; then the first intermediate details “layer”; and the finished scene.
Yes, and we’ll be there to help you. We already we have the canvas and canvas boards (8×10 and 11×14) as well as greeting cards with envelopes, and the acrylic paints and brushes you’ll need to work on your painting. There is plastic covers on the table and even aprons in the kitchen, in case you’re worrying about any painting oops. Here are a couple of planned “inspirations”. I’m still working on the autumn choices — which will be posted on the bulletin board. JOIN US and have fun exploring the possibilities!
